Internal Family Systems
​​​As an approach to personal therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) is considered to be one of the most popular and effective evidence-based treatment techniques in use today.

IFS is hailed by trauma-expert Bessel van der Kolk as the treatment method that.... “all clinicians should know”.
  
People often come to IFS looking for help dealing with anxiety, depression and low self-esteem; to alleviate stress and overwhelm; to address past traumas; to heal addictive or compulsive behaviours;  and to rediscover meaning and purpose in their lives. IFS can also help us gain insight into why we are struggling to overcome physical health conditions .
 
I am here to offer you the support that IFS therapy gives in helping you find your way through and resolving these issues.
Brainspotting
Brainspotting is a relatively new approach to healing. In common with some other approaches (such as EMDR and Somatic Experiencing), it uses eye positions, body awareness and mindfulness in order to access the deeper parts of the brain and nervous systems. Particular to Brainspotting is the use of the eye gaze to access areas of the brain where traumas, and also blocks to healing are held. As a result, new neural networks can be created  (via neuroplasticity) to bring about healing at a deep "subcortical" level.

Brainspotting can also be used to create positive outcomes for one's life goals, desired states of being or reclaiming lost parts of oneself. This helps create a more open and expansive path for the future.

I am a certified in Brainspotting, a member of the BSPUK team and currently training to become a Brainspotting Consultant.
